Prof. Jin-Hui Wu, Northeast Normal University (NENU), China.
Doctor of Philosophy from the Jilin University (Changchun), Research Associate at the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lecturer and then Professor at the College of Physics of the Jilin University and now Professor at the School of Physics and the Center for Quantum Sciences of the Northeast Normal University (Changchun) where he is also serving as Dean. Jin-Hui Wu has about fifteen years of experience in research and teaching along with an extended international cooperation experience as visiting professor for nearly the past two decades at many institutions in the US, Europe and in particular in Italy, which includes the Scuola Normale Superiore, University of Brescia, European Laboratory for Non-Linear Spectroscopy (Lens) and at the National Institute of Optics. His research focuses on the theory of coherent light-matter interactions for potential applications in the fields of quantum information and quantum optomechanics. He is head of a theory group that has gained a long term and internationally recognized expertise in theoretical modeling of the dynamic optical properties of coherently driven cold and thermal atoms. He has more recently started to work on novel ideas of coherent manipulation of cold Rydberg atoms with strong dipole-dipole interactions, correlated temporal-spatial modulations of atomic systems and optical waveguides as well as hybrid optomechanics assisted by multi-level cold atoms.
